question on 01 tail lights

Default question on 01 tail lights

Hi.. perhaps someone can help me I have a sets of 01 tail lights and my car is 00 GS, I want to know if this can be a straight replacement without any problem or indications of a busted bulb on my instrumental panel if I'm gonna change it. thanks..

Should be plug and play you may get the light of there is in fact a bulb out. If not you should be ok

thanks ..so basically just and play ..can I use a LED bulb on it as a replacement?

You can, I run Philips LEDs on all my rear lights except the turn signals.

Its plug and play. You can also run LEDs on the turn signal and reverse without showing a dashlight, I am

If the 01+ tails you've sourced come with wire harness, then yes its plug and play. If it doesnt and you have to use the set on your car, you'll need to do some cutting and splicing. You can do a little search on that topic, there are plenty of threads with that info.

As for LED's for you turn signal, you'll have to get an LED turn signal relay or put load resistors on each turn signal you choose to use LED's on.

ok I could not find the old harness of my 00 gs but the01 has a harness on it attached to the tails, so I have to find a 00 GS harness and use it on my 01 tail lights?

Negatory, use the '01+ harness on the '01+ taillights. That harness will plug into your car (2000) without any issues.
