I took my 2000 GS300 into the dealership today to get some of the settings changed. I asked to have all the doors unlocked with 1 press on the FOB and to have the doors lock/unlock with the shifter.

The dealer was able to switch the FOB settings and have the doors unlock when the shifter is put into park, but they said they were not able to lock the doors when the shifter is put into drive. They said the setting was available to change, but the ECU refused the changes. Has anyone else had this problem? Did the dealer screw up? I find it hard to believe they have the option to unlock automatically when in park but not lock automatically when driving.

 

The dealer is correct. The option is there for speed sensitive automatic locking, but it can't be enabled on a GS before the 2001 facelift.
