bad oil change
I bet most oil change places would just round up to 6 qts so it is not a big deal. You could just run the car to get oil in the filter turn it off then unscrew the filter and drain out the oil in it. There about a 1/4 of a qt of oil in it. I would just do it once. The check the oli level after it is in full operating temperature.
Double check your oil level by looking at the oil dipstick to see if you added too much. Its not necessary to change it out again, just drain the extra oil out with the drain plug. Loosen the bolt and use your judgment by letting the amount out.
depends more on how much you really drained out combined with what you put in.
How high is it on the dipstick. If it's within .5 inches over the full line, just leave it, it's fine. Check back in 2k miles, likely the oil consumption will "take care" of your extra .5 quart.
Think about it, the oil level is not precision rocket science. it splashes around all over the place when you're turning the car and braking and accellerating, and going up and down hills.
At cold start, it's at a different level versus when it's operating, yet car still works fine.
So unless you're grossly over like you double-filled and are 3+quarts over then you're fine.
You are better served using your time to pick out all the pebbles out of your tire tread and radiator grate, then worrying about an extra .5 quart of oil. (sarcasm, my point is these are equally OCD activities)

Inexpensive electric fluid pump from temu.com, $27, hooks to battery allows u to pull out excess fluid via the dipstick. Make sure car is parked on a flat level spot when cking level.
