Dyno Tips?
I was bored so I put the GS400 on the Dyno, but had problems keeping it in one gear. Any suggestions? E-Shift seemed to make no difference, Lexus apparantly designed it for people who have never driven a manual transmission unfortunately...
Oh, stock hp was 240 and with K&N drop in filter was 244. Pretty much an across the board 4hp gain along the whole curve.

You're testing in either third or fourth gear, right (I never can remember which)?
The trick is to gradually increase speed (smoothly) without allowing it to kick down a gear. I recall we put it 3rd gear using the normal gear selector and just smoothed it up. The problem (as you discovered) is accellerating as fast as possible w/o downshifting.
Also, depends on the dyno location too whether you drive it yourself on the machine or the operator does. If you are having problems w/ it, get the dyno guy to do it. You're paying for their time.
Good luck!
