Is there a specific model year that the leather interior changed in the GS series. My wife and sat in a 2000 and the leather felt nice and soft. Then went into the showroom and sat in a brand spankin' new one and it was like night and day, it was fantastic. The leather absorbed us. What's the deal? Different hides?

For 2003, the GS430 got perforated leather (feels better, doesn't look as good IMO).

I think perforated leather also came in the GS300 sport editions in the past and will come in the 2003 GS300 sport edition which should be out shortly.
