1999 gs 300 starting problems
Hello folks,I have a 99 gs 300 and im having some starting issues. The car starts and runs great, but sometimes it wont start,it cranks fine, but it wont turn over,i let it sit a day or 2 and it starts and runs fine,it did it the other day and I shot a little starting fluid in it and it tried to start but died when the fluid burned out,i let it sit a day and it started and ran fine, now its back to the none start,by tomorrow it will start and run fine.CAN someone please help me out,
No the starter works great,Its definitely a fuel problem,Im trying to figure out if its the pump starting to go,or the fuel regulator, sometimes it seem that the pump is not getting the signal from the key.maybe a bad ignition switch.Ive dealt with bad starters before and im sure that's not the problem, and the car is not throwing any codes.
It has gas,I did a scan and it comes up as 2798 code,it means my chip in the key is not communicating with the ecu,if I don't turn the key right away it seems to start right up,its either the key or the ignition it self
