1998 (2nd generation) lexus gs300 won't start need help!!
I have a 1998 lexus gs300, I was working on my driver side door lock rod. It was disconnected . While working on it the windows kept going up and down so I disconnected the negative battery once done reconnected the battery started the car. Car idled rough then shut. Check engine light was on. Checked it tbs was on. Changed it out . Then car just cranked over but never started. Checked fuel pump. Was not coming on with key in on position . I changed the fuel pump, the relay, the fuse and the fuel pump ecu. Did a noid light test injectors 1 2 4 and 6 all lit didn't test 3 and 5. Still no start. The anti theft blinks but once I put key in ignition it stops. I have no clue what it can be anyone have any ideas??

Awfully expensive solutions without knowing what the problem is. It could be a number of things: CPS, MAF, vacuum hose. What codes is the car giving? Sometimes the codes can be misleading, especially multiple codes.

Messing with the door lick I guess it triggered something to cause the windows to go down. That anti theft system. Haven't check for spark only do to when spraying starting fluid in throttle it would crank over and run 1-2 seconds then cut off.

I went back to do a check engine reader. P0120 tps sensor. I just replaced it and cleared code and it popped right back up. What would cause it come back on after replacing it?

i have a 2003 GS300 with a Aristo swap. And im currently having problems with the fuel pump. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. On some days the car turns on properly and runs properly. Other days it doesnt crank on. It has a brand new 255 fuel pump & the problems still continues. If anyone has knowledge on this problem, please contact me. My email is jhonny954@yahoo.com... Thank you!

If you know how to use a volt meter then check the voltage on the signal wire of the TPS, you should have around 0.4 - 0.6V during idle.
The supply wire should be 5V and the ground wire should be 0V.
Just back probe them and see if they are correct with key on ign.

New pump doesnt sound like its coming on. car starts sometime for a quick second and turns off... going to check for codes in the morning
