I am looking to put new lifters in my 99GS400, any suggestions. I am looking to put in a cold air intake, also any suggestions.

 

Why do you need new lifters?
Are you asking about a valve adjustment?

 

someone told me i should get some new lifters to add horse power. I have a stock 99 GS 400 not sure what to do next.

Maybe start a thread and ask in the performance sub-forum.
Post what you want on top of your stock 300hp. Money would be your limiting factor.

In my case I looked to upgrading the stock suspension and keep it in good tune.
A great handling 300hp DD is just fine for me.

yea, I'd like more power also (not that I'm not happy with the stock 300hp) but then I say... where/when would I really use more than 300 and is it really worth all the extra cash to make it happen.

Maybe I'm just becoming an old fart.

 

Get a jdm sticker pack also, that will increase horsepower, dude your not gonna throw in new lifters and have massive amounts of horsepower, I'm really confused as to why your friend would say that..

 

not really a lot of options with the engine unless you decide to do Force Induction.
