Default stock twins power

Hey guys, im just wondering about the power of the stock twins. I mean I havent found much info on the hp rating and stuff. maybe im not looking hard enough, but whats the max hp that you can pull from the stock twins with a boost/ speed cut? any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Around 400bhp is fairly easy with 3" exhaust, boost controller set to around 17.5, can get up to 450ish with cams, higher boost etc, but they are outside their efficiency range at above 18psi from memory.

Any more and you would need to look at hybrids (lots of $$$ for minimal gain IMO) or move over to a larger single.

thanks alot. i really appreciate the info. im planning on going single eventually, but i dont have the money for it right now so i was just gonna see what i could do with the stock twins for right now. with 400hp i should be able to have some fun. My ultimate goal is 800hp reliably and consistently, but idk how to pull it off. so ill settle for the 400 for now and be happy while i plan the rest out.

Want to say you're pushing your luck there. Remember the jdm turbos had the weaker turbine wheels and you don't want to push them and watch you motor eat them.

They aren't as weak as the partially unfair reputation they have picked up would have you believe - there are many people in the Supra and Aristo communities running JDMs at 17-18PSI for long periods of time (including myself) with no issues whatsoever. A lot of the perceived weak turbo issue is more around the sequential system not being in good shape - IAVC not working - overspinning no 1 turbo, EBV not working - slam starting 2nd turbo etc which manifests as the JDM turbos lunching themselves - but not being the root cause.
