Just a quick question today, pertains to 1998-2000 Lexus GS300's since they did not have Manual Mode those years. Is it bad to shift through the transmission starting from L, then going up as the rpm's get 2-3k then shift up to the next gear? Also, is it bad to downshift the same way, as RPM's lower to 1-2k then downshift? My ultimate question is, is this the same as Manual Mode or can this mess up my transmission? I have been driving this way for about 2 years since I got my exhaust, just having fun with the sounds of it. I have always thought this was okay to do. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
