Unhappy Driver side power window does not roll up...help!!

Hello friends,

So I am facing weird issue with the power window of driver side. When I hit down the windows go smoothly down in both Full auto and normal down mode. But when I try to do pull switch up to roll up the window 99% of time it tries (inverse of that) to roll down the window even when I want to roll it up. The pull up button is not rolling up the window. As a work around I had to insert the key in the door and rotate it anti-clockwise and held for 5 secs to close the window.

All I can here is kit kit sound when in pull up the master button. Is the button bad or some electric contacts issue. What should I do? Its driver side window and I need to roll it down up every now and then.
Scares me to take it to mechanic and listen to their heart breaking quotes. Please provide some advise.

Now the window does not rollup even with the door key turned left for few secs. It works fine for rest of the 3 doors. Driver side window just roll down but does not roll up by any mean. Whats going bad here? I believe motor is healthy else it wont roll down either. Please help can't leave door window open in parking every time.

I wish I can remember the thread that has the fix to this... it was a module in the door. I'll try to loacte the thread. My car did the same thing but at random times and often with weeks of working fine and then acting up 3-5 times back to back.

Hi! Mike, Thanks for sharing the link and information on this one. I am surely going to try it and see if it resolves my problem. I looks a positive solution. Any ideas if all doors MPX can be swapped to each other in case if I want to replace MPX from rear passenger and place it in front Driver should that work?
