Fuse Box Caught Fire!! Photo
So the past few days I've been smelling something strange coming from the air vents. Apparently either the fuse box or the fuse holder from the aftermarket sound system was slowly heating up where it eventually caught fire today. I was on the highway when I noticed smoke coming from the hood, I immediately pulled over at the nearest exit, I opened the hood and the fuse box was in flames. Luckily I was able to put the fire out before it spread any further.
Here's the damage done.
The car's electrical system still works fine and so does the audio. None of the actual wiring other than the power cable from the car's aftermarket audio system was damaged, and of course the fuse box. I'm going to replace the whole fuse box, battery, and redo the car's audio wiring.
My main question is, is the wiring to the fuse box plug and play? or would I have to solder each wire? If anyone is familiar and can help me out i'd appreciate it, thanks!

tell me about it!
Yeah the smaller gauged wire that you see on top of the fuse box is actually a relay harness for the HID fog lights, the cable along side of battery and fuse box is actually the power cable for the audio lol
Thank you! I guess that's all that really matters in the end right. I called a few shops and they said they'd need to take a look to give me a quote but I estimate roughly 600 or so. It really all comes down to whether the fuse box is plug and play or not because soldering would be a pain.

That wiring job though... Where is the fuse block for the amp power? Or is that melted right before the cars fuse box? Gauge is def small if thats it even for a lil 200 watt amp. Crazy bro glad ur safe though that coulda been crazy if u were stuck with no exit or shoulder to pull over.
Its possible you didnt have the right amount of amps for the fuse in that block. I had something similar even installed at a shop. My block melted a lil and i kept blowing fuses on the amp itself. Turned out that the fuse in my block by the battery wasnt big enough.
