a lot of 98-00 owners changed them to the new one, it's a direct swap and you can contact supratrd for it, it's not expensive, around 300 bucks if i remember right, that's the running price

imho though, i like my 98-00 one more. dunno, just don't like the big piece of red

Im with you on that Henry, I like the 98-2000 lights better. The big red piece doesn't do it for me.

yup, he's the parts manager at carson toyota but he can get you pretty much any parts for your lexus. he's a great guy, "stupidly" cheap in prices most of the times.

I'm biased of course, but the oder lights too closely resemble a Honda Accord's IMO.

1.) Search on 'tail lights'
2.) Order from Steve Ganz
3.) DIY HERE

At first I didn't like the 01+ lights. Then it really grew on me so I bought a pair . It definately freshens up the back of the car.

I used to prefer the 98-00 tails too. The new ones do grow on you. I replaced the tails with the newer ones and never looked back.

Although I have the newer style lights, I still prefer the way the '98-'00 lights look at night. The pattern makes it real easy to spot a GS.

Question?

So I don't need to buy the whole set-up I just need to buy the lenses right?

I mean I don't have to buy wiring or anything right? Just straight up plug and play?

Peace

yea man just the lens, dont buy the whole assembly with the wires and what not. its a real simple DIY, only 4 screws involved for each side takes a total of 10 min to swap.

No, that's wrong. The wiring is different for the newer style lights. You need the wiring assembly, which is attached to the lenses. When you order a set from Steve, they'll include everything you need to PLUG & PLAY.
