Default Misfire/Running rough Help!

Hello Club Lexus,
My name is Kyle and recently I have been having some trouble with my second gen gs300. The first thing that happened is the engine was misfiring in all cylinders randomly (or at least that was the code that came up). I think the code was P0300 = random/multiple misfire.

The first thing that we did was replace the spark plugs and coil pack wires, not the actual coil packs though. We checked the coil packs with a multi-meter and they seemed to be functioning correctly. This didn't fix the problem so me moved on to taking the engine apart and replacing some of the seals since it was leaking quite a bit of oil. We replaced the cam gear seals, the actuator O ring, and the timing belt.

We fixed the oil leak, but the problem persisted with the rough idle. After we got the engine back together and running again, I got a different code which was P1349, meaning Variable Valve Timing System Malfunction Bank 1. This made more sense to me because the problem would happen when the car was warmed up, hinting that it was an oil pressure issue.

Today my father and I tested the solenoid/OCV valve by attaching a wire from the battery to the valve terminals and on the first try the engine seized. We tried the test 2 more times but the engine or valve didn't respond at all.

If anyone has any info or help It would be highly appreciated. This has been quite the annoying problem and we are running out of ideas if this solenoid doesn't end up being the problem. Possible might be the ECU but from what i have read, the ECU is rarely the issue. Again any help would be awesome. Thanks
