How hard was this install? I ordered my trd one a few days ago. I am worried about breaking the chrome bezel.
Ps looks much better

DO NOT REMOVE THE BEZEL OFF THE CENTER CONSOLE

1. untwist the shift ****

2. open armrest up and pry the woodgrain area til it pops up

3, remove the connectors (pwr/heated seats/vsc/)

4. now gently pull the center console towards ya, the ashtray will come out connected to it also, unplug the ashtray..

5, take your leather cover and flip it inside out over your shifter, put it where it needs to be and ziptie and snip the excess off

6. turn your leather boot outside in right over the top of the shiftgate and stretch over the top and bottom and get it where your comfortable,

7. reverse order DONE

What's the name of that thing? I can't seem to find it from eBay.
All I get is leather shift *****.

Edit: Ah, leather boot.

i think he means when you put the boot through the shifter you fold the excess inside out to accommodate the shifter ****.. then you zip tie underneath so it doesn't get undone over time by shifting gears...

Looks good OP

Thanks guys, That is a 2012 Rx 350 shift ****, what I mean is when you are about to put the shifter boot over the metal shift rod, flip it inside out FIRST, then put it down over the metal rod to where the threads END, ZIPTIE it tight on to the metal shift rod at the end of the threads is where u wanna go, flip right side in so the leather is showing the right way, and just install over the shift gate..

Pete I think we may need your diy build thread picture where u did this, I had to take a tip from the DIY guru of course!!

Here's the boot
