Hello, I just got new MINI-VCI J2534 cable for connecting to my lexus.
Application launches, it says connected to vehicle, but when I press customize settings or health check, it thinks about it for like one minute and application crashes itself.
When I check data and trouble codes on applications, it shows fine, but Health check and Customize settings does not work which is most important things.
I have two laptops with win 8.1, win7. installes 7.10, 7.20, 8.00, 8.30 versions on both computers, reinstalled drivers, ran applications as administrator, ran in compatibility modes. My win 7 laptops is 32-bit system. Changed regions on techstream still the same.
Found out your issue and tried it myself, so check it out, the program is not compatible with windows 7, and esp. windows 8 with the Mini-VCI cable, only way to use the VCi cable you have, is with windows XP 32Bit, which unfortunately is true, i tried it. I dont have a computer with XP so I set up a Virtual Drive which was XP 32bit, installed techstream and what not on there, sure enough, thing worked. You have to install it correctly and in the correct order btw to get it to work to so make sure you've got that down. If you got yours working on win 7 let me know, these cable are junk btw, slowest %^&* ever... GL
