Default Thank you Club Lexus for the motivation then the how to's with pics!

Hey everyone! I've been a CL member for quite sometime and never post however I'm a very frequent visitor. In fact, its been so long since I joined that I forgot my user id so I had to register again.

Ok enough with the blah blah blah,

So I got a hair up my butt about a week ago to put some serious elbow grease and some $$ into my baby SportDesign!

I have an 03' black gs3. I've owned it since 05 and bought it in 05' with 20k miles. It now has 190k and you won't believe what I HAVEN'T done to it and it still purrs. Even better now when I tell you everything I just did to her.

After never once breaking down on me and absolutely zero maintenence besides oil changes and i mean ZERO, i found my girl not starting one morning so i started digging. ive had an oil leak for about a year so what happened was the valve cover leaked oil into the plugs, (Yes, ot was that bad) so i decided she needed some tlc after treating me so well for so long sooooooo....I just did the timing belt, valve cover gasket, crankshaft seals, mass air flow sensor because of the new vacum that was made when I did the valve cover gaskets,(also have me better brake pressure, plugs, wires, water pump, tie rod ends, ball joints, tires, alignment, fuel system treatment, brakes, also flushed them, air filters in cabin and also engine, wet sanded, rubbing compounded, polished, title wax black box waxed it, led'd the interior lights, new yellow fog lights (one was cracked), fixed the saddle leather seats, detailed the engine, interior, synthetic oil change, fixed the drain lines in the trunk, fixed the air noises in the cabin with the weather stripping ran inside the original weatherstripping, plugged the holes that lost the original plugs underneath the car, adjusted the steering tensioner, polished the exhaust tips, ........"Catched my breath".....and smoked the tail lights and also sanded and polished the HID lights and man o man, my new girl looks amazing!!!!!!!!

I'm going to post before and after pics here.

Thank you everyone for each and every little pieces of advice I was able to find on here for my DIY makeover! An most importantly, CLUB LEXUS for developing this site and to the Moderators who control and add to it!

This site has seriously saved me thousands and thousands of $$ and I must say, everything everyone added was so useful and allowed everything to go smooth and for my loved Lexus!

I have decided to make my baby make it to 300k miles! Only 110k left to go! She purrs like a kitten and I KNOW she will do it with style!!!!

Ps, this all took me 46 hours total time. Maybe could have done it in 40 with a few less Blue Moon's!

I love sportdesigns. Glad you're keeping it in top shape, this car is one of the best made that i've ever seen and i love the styling compared to newer cars.

I use imgur.com to upload photos, it's pretty easy to use

Go to the App Store and get an app called Picup, choose the pics and hit upload, one picture at a time(I know) your gonna click on a pic, hit open in safari, copy and paste, one at a time! It's the only way it works from your iphone...

I use an app on my Android phone that might be usable thru the iPhone. It post pics with no problem. Its called IB AutoGroup. It reads more then one forum at once. Quite helpful.

Awesome....I wish I had my Gs3 that long. It would have been nice to break it in myself.
