There are a lots of gs 300 + gs 430 in germany running on lpg. my gs 430 is also running on lpg. Lpg is 3,8$ a Gallon here. You need to be careful with your valve seats on lpg, because it is injected as a gas and does not lubricate + cool your valves. It consumes a bit more lpg than petrol, because of the density. performance..i don't think than you can really tell the difference. I run it at 16-19 mpg at the moment.
in germany you pay around 2.500-3.000€ (~3400-4000 usd) for the modification and the german technical inspection to put the modification into your car's paperwork. in poland you pay around 1.000€ (1360 usd).
However, i don't know if lpg is available in the us. I think it should also be possible in cali, in germany we also have a quite restrictive "exhaust pollution control"

Here you can see my engine bay with all the parts. i have an additional 18.5 gallon (70 liter) tank in the spare wheel compartment. it comes with a solenoid controlled overpressure-valve and may only be filled up to 80%. Thats around 58 liters of lpg i can get into it.

You have a new control unit, 2 vaporizer units, 8 injectors, gas filter and that should be it. also you need a flashlube device, which injects a valve lubricant to lubricate your valves. i will need to have another one fitted, which will be around 400-500 euro.

Those pictures are for a V8 UZ motor, is that a full propane conversion or duel fuel?
What kind of injectors are those? Looks like a very clean install, I can barely see a regulator next to a OE fuel line.

I have looked into propane kits for my Hilux from gotpropane.com. I'm more interested in dual fuel.
Kits are DIY and start at around $900.us.

You can just switch over to petrol if you like to, there is a small unit with a switch and indicator in the cabin. also it starts on petrol, with 40°C coolant temperature, it switches over to lpg.

Sorry for the late response. The kit cost me 1,000€ which is about $1,400. Ive been using it like this for about 10 months with no issues. I also have been using a 2003 ml320 mercedes for about 4 years with the lpg with no issues. I get about 2.5 liters of lpg for the price of 1 liter of gasoline. I swear when i come back to the states i will never everrrrrr complain about filling up my car for $70 because it takes twice as much here. Europeans have this fuel economy thing on lock. My merc e270 cdi gets amazing fuel mileage compared to an American version e350.

The company that I work for is a local propane company and they have a few trucks (1 F150, 1 GMC 2500, 2 F-350's) that run on propane and it is actually quite interesting. The kits go for about $800 for a V8 engine and cheaper for smaller engines. (may be a lot more expensive because we get a discount but this is how much it cost us). I wanted to convert my car to propane because it is about $1.75 a gallon before its taxes and fees get on it which would roughly bring it to about $3+ /gallon. Fuel economy stays roughly the same +/- a gallon or 2 per mile

He is right about the lubrication portion because propane actually dries it out MUCH faster than regular gasoline so it is important to keep up with engine lubrication.

THE REAL SELL FOR LPG CONVERSION KITS is that it really cuts back a ton on engine maintenance. LPG burns A LOT, and i mean A LOT cleaner than regular petrol. We have had trucks out in the field with 60-70k miles with out an oil change and when you change the oil, it comes out as gold as it went in the engine. There isn't as much carbon deposits in the oil. We have these trucks running thousands of miles a day so its easy to put 30k in a month. I can co-sign that LPG kits are the way to go if you can get propane for cheap and it doesnt get rid of the regular petrol system
