Default Need help with Stock Gs300 98' first time modding

Hello, I've got a 98 Gs3 with the stoke 5 stokes i'll attach an image of what they look like, need some help cause I'm gonna be try and mod em' once I get back home from my first month of college in about 3 weeks. Alright so what I wanna do is paint em black and throw some clear coat on em to make them shine, Then, I'm gonna sand down the side to give it a machined lip kinda look, I'm not sure if its possible. (to give no lip wheels, a lip.) If anyone has pics of this that would be great cause I'm not sure what they would look like.
Here are my stock wheels

Nobody knows what to do? Any tips? I know some people do this to other wheels, but I'm not sure where to start on these...

Same ur money, eat ramin Noodles if your a B.O.B, and get some decent set of wheels. Those Bullit replicas go on ebay for $500..

I guarantee that what ever you do to your oems, it will not look like what ever is goin on inside ur head.. It will look awful..

No this is not possible to do. Like **** said. Buy some actual wheels or leave the car on the OEM's. Shoot see if you can find the 17" GS400 wheels. Those will make the car 100x better looking and do not cost a fortune.

While I won't try to tell you how to live your life and spend your money, I will tell you that painting these wheels black will not look that great.

I get ideas for my cars everyday. Sometimes they seem like a good idea until i throw them into photoshop to get a closer look at reality.

1.) Painting a wheel especially with perfect lines and 2 colors where it looks perfect when spinning is no easy task either. And trust me i paint stuff all the time.

2.) I am not trying to rain on your parade, i just dont think it would look good. Case in point

As much as I hate to say it, save money and buy wheels. I hate telling people their ideas are bad, while you are being creative this is not a good time to do it with stock wheels. With that being said balling on a budget is harder and trust me I do know but I think you should do what **** advised.

A good starting point would be save a couple hundred dollars if need be by cutting out things you spend money on that you don't need and take that money over to Craigslist or something and buy a decent cheap set of wheels to start you off. People sell rims dirt cheap these days. They might not be MRSP $5,000+ wheels but couple hundred spent on a decent set should suffice until you can get what you want.

I don't know the area your in or like this style of wheel but here is a good example of affordable wheels. Just find some with tires or buy cheap tires after you find what you want.

Wow you guys are great, lol. Seven, just gonna say it, your awesome. I thought it would look alright but now i see its horrendus. I was just thinking of random stuff to change the car up when I'm back home, guess all i'm gonna do for now is tint the windows, like 30-45%. Anyone got an opinion on ebony Vinyl Wrap jobs?Do they last or anything? Cause I was thinking of doing it in dark wood then layering over 3 coats of clear coat on top to make the interior look a little darker. ****, if you only knew how many boxes of ramin Noodles I've eaten since i started college... Considering making a castle out of all the boxes from costco I've recycled.
Heres what I'm gonna be saving up for, eventually gonna get em'
Called Enkei Lusso in 20" Guessing loads of other peopel got em but eh' I love em, and thats all that matters.

Eventually gonna get Lowering Springs / Coilovers if the wheels don't cover the gap up, after that Apexi ws2 Catback, Roof spoiler, and full repaint of that 14 year old paint job that the last owner didn't seem to care about. >

If u wanted to hear the Cat back here ya go:

I'm glad your not gonna go with your original plan of modding your oems. My first thought was "yikes, dont do it". Lol.... but those 20" enkei's look pretty fresh, I dig those. I will have a set of tein coilovers for sale in about 3 weeks if you're interested?

There is a thread on here about tint and windshield tint. Think its on page 2. Just remember to get ceramic tint for the windshield to block the heat. It makes a big difference.
