Transmission question for the Pros PLEASE HELP

I have a 01 gs3 with the M buttons on the wheel. If I change my tranny to a 99 that doesn't have the buttons will I still have my manual feature????? PLEASE HELP

The transmissions are all the same, the manual shifting capability is part of the computer that controls the transmission. Short answer: yes.
