Default GS330 HP increase?

I was reading the first test drive of the RX330 on edmunds and the new engine was rated at 230 hp. A 10 hp increase, I sure hope that is not all they can get from this engine for the GS330, at least 240 hp would be better.

I am not caught up in the HP hype crap? Why? Cause that means something else is being overlooked, like QUALITY, REAL WOOD, controls that are not shared with the Corolla etc etc.

I am sure the GS 330 will be around the 240hp mark, WITHOUT any sacrifice in anything else.

I say 250 minimum, heck the GS35 has 260.

Yea but the G35 is a pieace of crap....Already 3 recalls...Look at the altimia, accord they all have over 230 HP....But there all front wheel drive and talk about over steer....Plus not the fact they use real crappy trannny so just imagine how fast it will last....The 2005 (fall2004) GS330 going to be 240HP but it will drive like a lexus not like an over powered front wheel drive car...I take it over any ricers 400 HP civic...

HP is NOT as important as torque, the torque curve, drivetrain efficiency and transmission for 99.9% of the driving we do. A Corolla can do over 100mph and it certainly doesn't have much HP. A BMW 330i on the other hand now has a 'measly' 230HP and it will SMOKE most things on the road.

Don't get too hung up in HP numbers. They often don't mean much in terms of real world responsiveness.
