Hello My peep in Lexus land. So I bought a universal heads up display ( projector style MPH thing). Has anyone installed one of these in a second gen gs yet? If you have please let me know what you did for the speed wire connection.

Sounds cool. I have seen apps for smartphones recently that do this and a new Garmin unit I think. Do you have a link to a product page?

 

i think u just plug into your OBD2 port.

 

Speed pulse wire is on the harness on the cluster.

 

I got it from eBay like $50.... Search universal HUD there's literally 3 wires to connect + - and speed. I have no schematic though ( I need one if someone has) which wire is it in on the cluster? I intend to install blue LEDs in the cluster anyway.

I chose this because its one of the few that can be changed to MPH and not KM. You can set speed limit warnings and it has battery indicator and a few other minor features. If I can get the schematic or the correct wire I can install this weekend and do a write up for you guys.
