Its time to start replacing the worn out and sun faded weatherstrip on the door... part number 67861 and 67862. Has anyone replaced this? Is it a easy DIY? i searched and only found the lower door molding but i want the whole entire weatherstrip as shown in the diagram. seems like it would just pop out?
It's pretty straight forward, you just have to remove the door check and line up the clips. Really pay attention to the way the old one sits in place before you remove it.
so your saying that needs to un bolted to work around correct?
thanks for the link... I see that u can buy LT and RT clips so i wonder if i should buy those as well.. Thomas said in that ink that clips come with the weatherstrip.. i emailed Sewell to find out
It is very easy to do. It took me 15 minutes max. Mine had a little plastic cover over the 10 mm bolt though.other than that all the clips just fall into place. Just gotta push them in.
I just ripped em outta a gs300 at my local bone yard. What? that door check comes off? Jeesh, I just snipped the weather stripping at the bottom and pulled it off. Oh well. Can't complain for only $5
