Default Installing HID Kit Help Please

Ive been looking for hours and I couldn't find anything :/ Anyways I want to install an HID kit onto my Lexus GS400 1999. I have the kit with the ballast, bulbs etc. When I go to install the lights, how does everything connect for example, how do the ballasts connect to the light controllers and back to the wiring harness on the car itself? do i need an adapter? because the connections are different and i have 9006 HB HIDs, im stuck :/ thanks

Or do you just buy hid bulbs instead of a kit with ballasts etc. and just put the bulb in the OEM unit?

Well if your car came factory with HID's, then obviously you just need bulbs and not a kit. A kit is plug and play.

if your car is equipped with a stock hid system you only need to change the bulbs if you want to change color as in 4300k, 5k, 6k, etc..

aftermarket hid systems are basically plug and play really easy to install to be put simple example;

hid bulb "1" "2"
hid ballast "1" "2"
wiring harness "+" "-"
stock harness "+" "-"

connect 1 and 1, 2 and 2, + and +, - and -

if you need hook ups on any hid system kits or parts pm

like everyone said, it depends on which headlights you have... HID or halogen.

HID = d2r
halogen = 9006
