A random thought and it is pretty rough at that:

I would think that you could possibly fudge it with the right stuff. I notice that the difference between my master and valet keys is that the valet key has a lower angle cut at the tip of the right side of the key. Holding the tip away from you. If you built that up with say an epoxy or welding up metal using a jewelers torch and managed to get it to open everything, you could then buy subsequent keys and program them.

If the ECU can be simply replaced for key costs, or there are low cost alternatives...shoo, no need to bother. BUT if I were looking at $2K, I'd consider it.

I cannot seem to get the www.lexus-parts.com website to open up to any specific field. I always get the "page cannot be displayed" message. Is the site down at the moment?
