Default knock sensor wiring

2002 gs300.
I had a friend mechanic changed bad valve cover gaskets and spark plugs. when i got the car back it was misfiring. ran the machine to get the codes and came back P0325 (knock sensor 1 cuircuit) so as i am trying to find the knock sensor (fyi, if you dont know where it is, its on the drivers side right under the intake manifold) i see that the wire is ripped from the connector to the knock sensor. (i replaced a connector on a coil pack and saw that the have terminals inside the connector a few days ago). so i belive this wire for the connector should be attached to a terminal that is still inside the connector that is still connected to the knock sensor. im freaking pissed off that this happen and ****ing bricks on how much this will cost.

1. what is the best thing to do in this case...HELP!!!!
