Default IS300 Wheels on GS300

I have a 2002 gs300 sport design with the dark graphite wheels and was wondering if anyone has (or has a picture of) a gs300 on the dark graphite is300 port design wheels? They are a 10 spoke i believe. Im going to have to switch the tires since the gs is 225/55/16 and the is tires are 215/45/17 but with it being 17x7 and a 50 offset, do you think the wheels will look to small even if i get tires that could be the same as the stock gs (would be 225/50/17). Thanks for any help.

I'm currently running the IS300 SD rims in silver for my winter set up. I'm running 215/45 17" Blizzak W60 and they're sunken in and wheel gap is definitely noticeable compared to the OEM 235/45 17" size of the GS.. I'm going to purchase 225/45 17" once the season is over. You can always run a 10mm spacer in the front and 15mm in the rear to make is flush.

Keep in mind that my suspension is not stock but I'm currently on Bilstein HD shocks mated to Eibach Pro spring kit.

Wouldn't a better size be 225/50/17 instead of 225/45/17?

You're correct on the 50 sidewall profile. Tirerack does recommend 225/50 17" as optional size.

In my opinion the side wall of the 225/50 size is too tall on a lowered suspension. I'm going with the 225/45 size to keep the low profile look and minimize rubbing issues especially since I'm running spacers.

LOL. Yes my neighbor decided that it would be kosher just to dump an additional 2" of concrete on top of his existing driveway w/o joints. Who am I to judge since my driveway needs to be repaved as well?

O ok alright I'm on stock suspension so I guess it would make more sense to stick with the 50 sidewall. Thanks for the help

I ended up not getting these and picked up a set of sc430 pie plates for $150 bucks. No tires, so will be putting either 235/45/18 or 245/45/18 on the wheels. I dont think i should have an issue with rubbing since the stock wheel is 235/50/17

Either size should be fine.
