Default New Member Needs Help ASAP

I am having a problem with my 99 Lexus gs300. It starts but shuts off after a few seconds. Originally the check engine light gave the code for missing on all cylinders and after doing some research most people said changing the coil packs will fix the problem, which I did but no luck. I am in the Bahamas and we don't have a Lexus dealership that deals specifically with Lexus and I am having a hard time finding a mechanic who really know these cars over here. I also searched the forum and found other members with similar problems but no one said how they got it fix. Please guide me in the right direction.

You need to begin with the basics. Spark, fuel and air.

If it doesn't even idle, my guess would be the fuel pump. BUT, since the CEL code shot you that all of the cylinders weren't firing, the coils might fix the issue. Like sam12345 said, you should start with any disconnected air hoses, fuel filter maybe, fuel ECU, or spark plugs.

Quick question. Shouldn't I be able to hear the fuel pump when I turn the key to on. Cause I am not hearing anything. Sorry new ti Lexus.

^^I clarified that...you should be able to hear the fuel pump...if you don't, that is where my suspect is.

Not what I meant. Pull a spark plug and see if there is spark. If yes, check fuel pressure with fuel pressure gauge. That's we're you start.
