^ I believe Clifford doesn't lag compared to the viper car alarms though. My buddy just picked up a TL and it already came with a Viper alarm system. I used to have a clifford on my GS-R. I know the Viper alarm lags for about 2-3 seconds then locks, but I never had that problem with my GS-R. Check into it !

I still don't know why anyone's recommending viper when they lag and no one has said that about compustars yet. I think you guys are jus saying viper because that's what you have but you truly don't know if its better lol

Did someone steal your GSR even with the alarm?

Yup. It was parked outside a buddies house. Had my quick release steering wheel taken off and clutch lock connected, but I was KTFO because of reasons.

so I don't know if the alarm went on or not, or how it was even stolen.

Viper has the annoying lag. Don't get me wrong, My boss has a Viper alarm on his truck and it has a 1-second lag time that shows if the car is locked or unlocked on the key fob, which I thought was pretty handy. So It comes down to which model you buy.

I'm pretty much sure that majority of people talking about Viper has used it, yet no one has any experience with the Compustars. Hence, no one is discussing them.

wow come to think about it these alarms really dont do **** except look cool with the blue light and the autostart. In reality for a car like the GS like I have I feel like it can make it easier to steal because any smart theif can break in and turn off the viper alarm WAY faster then an OEM alarm and if hes smart enough hell realize theres a hidden key in the car and can find it and easily drive off with the car.

i dont ever have a fear of someone stealing my car, just stealing stuff inside or the wheels.

some of you guys are right, if they want it , they will still get it but it will damn sure slow them down a bit and that can make a big difference.

the 2 way system, you will know when it goes off. if you want to go with more advance, like the smart system i was talking about, as long as you have cellphone signal, you will be notified when the alarm goes off , doesn't matter if you are far away or not, as long as you have phone service. it also can track your car gps real time.

you can have a back up battery as well and when a theif thinks its too much work or too risky, he'll move on to the next car.

I feel like hiding a key in the car makes it much easier to steal then just the factory alarm. but yea no one really wants to steal my car anyway its not worth that much lol but youd be surprised

cuz maybe there's nothing much wrong with compustar??? but I do have another complaint. since the gs is a 4 door and I programmed only the drivers door to unlock with one press and press twice to unlock all doors.

there is a very small window for you to press the button twice to unlock all doors. if you press too fast doesn't work. press too slow doesn't work. it HAS to be timed exactly about 1-2 seconds right after the first press.
