Exclamation Drivers door latch cable

My drivers door latch cable snapped and cant open from the inside.
Looks ghetto as hell going somewhere and coming out of a lexus and I need to roll own my window and open my door from the outside

Would I have to purchase the actuator or can I replace the cable that is snapped separately ? I was told I'd have to replace the whole actuator . True or false ? Dont know too much about these things. HELP ! Thanks

Typically you would replace it but I repaired mine with a glue gun, duck tape and grease on my last GS. My cable separated from the round end. Not sure where your fail but I would think it can be a DIY project. PITA as it may sound but there is not many parts to it.

If its the end tip I think a motorcycle shop can put a new one on. They do it all the time for throttle cables

I tried soldering it back together but no luck hah. I found one from a member here for the whole lock actuator though and I just bought it. Shipping out tmr. If this one fails down the road, I will keep the motorcycle shop in mind. Thanks
