I had recently had 3 codes, Evap and Cat codes (99 Gs400) . Take the engine cover off and check the vacuum hoses for cracks. I had a few dried and broken hoses. As for your cat, try this stuff called Cataclean. It is $25 a bottle. You pour it into your gas. After a few miles I did notice the car ran smoother and had a little more power. The light has not come on in over a month
