Undergoing Major Maintenance
Going to invest in major maintenance before Christmas hits. My gs has 115k with no known maintenance from previous owner, except Moog lbj and outer tie rods I've done. Please let me know if anything I listed is not needed. Which of the two would you pick or another kit you'd recommend? Was planning between the two kits (prices are a mix of ebay, rockauto, carson toyota):
"Aisin Kit"
(only thing here I might want to replace is the Bando drive belt)
NGK spark plugs: 31.79
Gates drive belt: 18.06
Koyo Radiator?: 121.00
Total: 429.8
"Gates Kit"
NGK spark plugs: 31.79
Gates drive belt: 18.06
Gates serpentine: 21.28
Toyota thermostat: 16.78
Toyota thermostat gasket: 4.54
Toyota front crank seal: 11.57
Toyota front cam seal (2): 11.90
Koyo Radiator?: 121.00
Total: 383.87

The first one already has a drive belt, so you are wasting their "bando" drive belt if you are not consciously not wanting to use it.
This makes the prices pretty close- considering you need to get another order to get the Toyota parts, so that means a hidden shipping price-consider getting future maintenance items at the same time (filters, pvc valve, wiperblades, or whatever)
I don't think it matters, what matters more is your mechanic to do it right.
Be prepared not to change your seals, if your mechanic is good, he'll inspect and replace IF NECESSARY. but leave the originals if not necessary.

Do your inner rods too. Trust me, its worth it.
inner rods need to be discussed for now on, not so much for safety and wear, but damn, our cars are getting old and boy do the inners make a difference with steering.
