Hello guys, wondering if u can help with some issues i need to fix on my Gs's...

Issue 1 - 01 GS 430, Recently when i start the car and put it into Drive, the car barely drives when i accelerate. If i turn the car off and on it drives fine. No check engine lights, pretty stock except SRT intake, catback exhaust, lowered.


Issue 2 - 98 gs 300. My mom took the car out and smacked the passenger side mirror. The glass fell out and broke. Also a plastic white piece looks like it broke. Can i order these 2 parts or do i have to replace entire unit?

Issue 3 - 98 gs 300. The car has had a loud humming sound, sometimes scratching sound from the engine, near the front drivers side. At idle the engine is loud, but even louder when driving as the rpm's climb. Someone said it could be some bearings (not internally in the engine). Anyone ever had this issue.

 

1. Try removing the intake and see if it still does it, could be the MAF sensor going nuts with the intake.

2. Ebay you can find the replacement mirror piece

3. Cant help with the humming, I have to hear it to make a guess. Could be a loose motor mount, or just a loose panel.

 

Anyone know if a 99 GS430 mirror (just mirror and backside part with plug, is the same as the 98 GS300.

Not sire if the 300 has autodimming and heat

 

Your issue for #1 sounds like the battery, I had the exact same problem, I thought I bought a lemon, changed the battery and my car was back to normal like nothing happened, I would have to have my neighbor jump my car and I would hit the gas and go NOWHERE floored to the ground, replaced battery, all was well, it was frustrating because the kid told me it was a new battery when I bought the car, I was nervous to say the least, that will be exactly one year in 3 days, haven't had a problem since!!!!
