Oh hell yeah, I'm doing this. You'll prob get round to it before me so post up how you get on. USB charger. what a good Idea.

I have just put a Kenwoood Double Din which has usb. Might just run 2 usbs from a mini hub in the glove box then they can play there music from therre device too. Obviously only one device would be able to be plugged in at a time but thats no biggie!!

yes it is but you can make a adapter to charge anything if you dont use a iphone or even to add a additional cigarette lighter aux

 

which wire do you solder to make it functional?

i havent decided on the top but it will be something simple. correct only visible when opened. i will put a quick disconnect plug on it so i can remove the ashtray from the door when i need to take the door panel out....it wont be done quickly as im working on a few projects at the same time.

 

no updates but im posting the window/door wiring diagrams if anyone wants to do this yourself without waiting on me

 

look for this to be done by the beginning of next month for me, although i dunno if i will have a DIY
