where can i put the jack stands?
i want to take the wheels off...

Terry,
It's a workday for most people and activity is usually low during the day on CL. Those that are reading it (like me) probably don't have your answer or they would have responded.
Do you have an owner's manual for your GS? If so, you'll find a picture of the points you should use. I'm where I don't have access to my manual now or I'd look it up.
I'll also do some searches for prior posts.

Can't hel pyou out with the jack points and rims situation, but i do know that if it is going to be stored over the whole winter season, you will still need to take it out everyone and a while (or at least just turn it on). My dad stored his 91 Celica GT-S once we got the SC and then when i turned 16 and got the SC, he had to get rid of the Celica b/c all the seals had dried out, etc. *This led to getting the GS
). Right now, I am in college in FL, but my car is back home in VA. My dad drives it every once in a while to work just to keep it in shape, but thats about it. Good luck with it.

The jack points for your car are just in behind the front wheel and just in front of the back wheel. You will actually see little markings in the pinch-weld that indicate where the jack should go. If you are using the factory jack it will not be a problem, but if you use a hydraulic jack you will need a pinch-weld adapter (available at www.eastwoodco.com) If you use a hydraulic jack without this adapter you will bend/ruin the pinch-weld and eliminate the possibility of ever using your factory supplied jack again.
As far as jack stands go your manual won't tell you much, you can do one of 2 things, place them so they are directly under the shock mounts (strongest point of the suspension), or find out from the dealer/service dept. where they place the lift brackets when they place the car on a lift and use those.

Dave,
I guess I'll use the stock jack points as my jack stand points...
i'll search around to find a jack point so that i can use my 3 ton jack...
i'll remember to use the search button...
thanks!
