Oil Light?
Oil Light?
Hi fellas just wanna know if anyone has had this light on and what it means? I just did an oil change not that long ago... Any ideas?

Check the oil level.
Any leaks?
Could be a maintenance reminder that wasn't reset. I know Ford & Honda have these but not sure yet on the Lexus.
I had an '07 F150 in for minor service a few years ago. Grease, oil, filter & rotate the tires.
Discovered a minor problem when I got it home.
They forgot to put the new oil in!
About a 3 mile drive to my house. I stopped for about an hour about halfway. Friend was working on a Sat. AM. Drove home & started to hear the tell-tale valve train clatter. Funny, the oil light was not on.
Long story short I had a document from the shop in my hands stating they would make any/all repairs due to oil starvation. This was before they came to the house & put the oil in. They drove it to the shop & changed it right away - no filings at all. Changed it again next day & then again after a week. No apparent issues.
Was considering buying the lease out in a couple months. Game changer !

Not a maintenance reminder. Your oil level is too low and/or you have lost oil pressure. Check the level NOW, add oil as needed.
