I was thinking about buying the ScanTool 425801. Anyone have any input on that one?

done some checking on scan tool 425801 all doe sounds good I do not think it would work on my 1998 ls400 20 ser Australian standards , good for USA not for Australia in 1998 ...

Get one that also reads ABS. I bought a OBD2 scanner from harbor freight, I didn't know they also carried one that reads ABS too. My scanner still works like it did brand new I love it.

The MaxiDAS is bad ***. does a ton of stuff. But perhaps only good for you if you have a shop to justify the cost.

Techstream, You would need a laptop but will read more codes and sensors than most of what's out there. $30-40 for mini-vci cable and software comes with it.

I have this app and odb Bluetooth.

It only can read the check engine light code.
and it give a lot of real time inforation.

For two times I find out i had a bad oxygen sensor.
read out the code, order a new one and replaced it.
I didn't have to go to a garage and easily saved more money and time then he cost of the Torque app an Bluetooth odb.
