Hey Fellas,

I recently brought my 2001 GS 430 about 2mth ago with 95k & now my dash is close to 98k. I don't know how long the car was sitting nor how long the oil was change nor what oil was used before i brought the car. This morning i checked my oil & the oil was flitty black but there was enuff oil to hold me down for another 2k. Right now i don't have money to waste long term so its better to be safe then sorry so i wanna change my oil asap. I need advice on what oil(mobil.castrol,etc) i should use ummm synthetic or non synthetic & where should i buy my fliter(Dealer,Arch,Advance Auto,Auto Zone,Pepboys)????

I use mobile 5w-30 full synthetic that i buy from walmart 5 quarts for about $28 and my filter is from toyota. Keep in mind the 430 engines use 5.5 quarts.

 

I use Castrol Edge Titanium Full Syn 5w-30 from Walmart.

 

i use corn oil from cotsco

 

valvoline oil orange jug from walmart toyota filter

 

just use 5w-30 as its recomended by lexus
you can use dino or synthetic its up to you same with filter

Noob question why not lexus filter? or toyota is the same sh@#?????

 

lexus is toyota and when bought from toyota is cheaper

Toyota and Lexus are the same company.

Same thing if you buy touch up paint, you can buy the Millenium Silver from Toyota and spend like half less or the 1c0 from Lexus and be twice as expensive
