Default GS400 storage tips

Currently storing my 98 GS4 in a garage. I might start it after a few weeks or after a month to move it to a different parking space but no long drive. Any storage tips? Should I be driving it longer if it's been sitting for a few?

Also, do I adhere to oil change at 6 months since clearly I wouldn't have driven 3000-5000 miles?

Thanks

when i was 14 and dating this girl, i didnt want to send it in till i was ready, then my best friends older brother said to me "USE it or LOOSE IT"

The same apply to cars, long storage requires MAINTENANCE, or you car start saying goodbye to seals, lines, sensors, electrical components, batt, etc which could get expensive.

good comparison

it is true though, ive read a lot of horror stories about mouses living in the air box, chewing up wires, etc.

if you really need to store it, give it to a relative who can take care of it and start it up once in a while

It's just like sorting any other car. Pack the tank with fuel, change the oil, if inside leave windows slightly cracked to help ventilate the interior, disconnect the battery, and I'd suggest a car cover.

before starting it back up, check fluids, hook up battery, fire up car, go for a drive long enough to at least bring the car to fill operating temp.

Thanks but are we talking maintenance or simply more frequent usage and bring to full operating temp? It doesn't go longer than a month or two but I can certainly keep to a schedule like making sure I drive it monthly ?

I stored my car and my wheels had a flat spot, at really slow speeds i would hear/feel the tires a little when rolling to a stop.

After it sat for only 2 weeks, my car stalled twice as I was driving at low speeds, car was fully warm already. No check engine light - hope it was a one off but not sure how to diagnose...

Yeah thats fine. Its just from it sitting and "wanting" to shutoff because of the battery. My Lexus gets driven 800-1000 Miles PER YEAR. It sits in my garage. I routinely drive it once a week and i have no issues whatsoever. Dont let it simply sit and dont "start" and "turn it off" right away as that will drain your battery and mess up the alternator. Start it up and drive it around or take a loop on highway so it can stay juiced.
