Where to buy paint?
hey guys, i'm looking to re-spray my bumpers due to a lot of rock chips and scratches... i'm wondering if you can link me to some legit sites that sell pre-mixed paint (Millenium Silver to be exact in my case) beside getting those spray cans from autozones or AA ... etc...

I called a local automotive paint mfg around here to get a price on paint for my pearl white gs.
$700 for a gallon of base coat white and a gallon of the pearl coat. **** that's a lot of money.

Do you have a siphon feed spray gun or HVLP?
The latter will require less paint, saving you money.
1 pint of base color (usually a 1:1 ratio mix with reducer, thus = 2 pints spray-able) will generally suffice for 2 bumpers if you spray 2 coats to obtain opacity.
You will probably need a pint to a quart of clear though, based on the type of spray gun you'll be using, since the activator / catalyst doesn't add much to the paint volume (either 1 part activator to 3 or 4 parts of clear generally).
Look in the Yellow Pages under "Body Shop supplies" and you'll usually find automotive paint suppliers.
I usually spray DuPont Chroma, but any name brand's mid to high end paint line will give you oem results (or better) if you prep properly and can spray well..

welcome to tri-stage paint...oh the joys...its why my bumper is peeling and I'm not repainting until I'm ready to paint the whole car because i only plan on doing it once.
