Default Guys who have used Dr. Colorchip

So I used it today and I don't know if I'm expecting too much but I'm not satisfied.

I followed the steps on how to do them and it was so hard to wipe off the paint with the sealer it came with. I let the paint dry for 30 minutes and it was so hard to wipe off the excess paint. I had to rub it off and The finish still had chips but instead of the chips being white, the chips were dark blue which is my cars paint. What could I have done wrong?

Did I use too much paint in order for me to have trouble wiping the excess paint off? It says don't rub hard but I had to cause it was hard to remove the excess paint.

First off what color is your car? From my experience, dr color chip does a pretty good job of covering up rock chip when it come to 2 stage paint, but when it come to 3 stage paint like sfp and gfm it does an alright job. Mostly because of the pearl in the oem paint.

Most of the chips will not be smooth, dr. Chip will fill them in and blend it back to your cars color rather than the white chips.

On another note, work in small areas, ONLY let the paint dry for about 5-10 min. The longer it sits, the harder it gits!!

I've used it and was pleased with the results. If it's a deep scratch or ding...you'll need to do that spot several times because it fills in the gouge with paint and you basically try and blend it out with your finger. Yes the longer you let it sit the harder it will be to remove the excess paint. Although it was tough at first...I kept at it...the excess turned a faint white...like a dried smudge and eventually wiped clean. My car is Smokey Granite.

Note: it's NEVER going to be perfect, but at least it will have color in it.

I used it for my hood. Worked amazing. I let the paint sit for a couple minutes then used the solution. No problems.

Does anyone know if Dr. Colorchip would work on Truffle Mica? The OEM pen is a bit too light.

Had an hour or so early evening yesterday to test out Dr. Color Chip, and it works great! Going to do a second layer to fill up the deeper chips so it's more level.

I used it on my hood and it worked very well. Yes, you waited way to long to wipe the excess off. I waited around 5 minutes. Anyway, here is mine before and after.
