I know this is not about a Lexus but hope someone here might know
I have an 89 year old friend. Her 2009 Toyota Corolla had a dead battery the other day.
A jump start got it running. She took it to a Toyota dealer where they told her that a chip in her remote key drains the battery. They told her this is not just her Corolla but it was a design flaw. I find this just really difficult to believe. She had driven the car a 1/2 hr before the car would not start.
I called a buddy at Lexus dealership who used to work at Toyota dealership and he thought this was just absurd.
Hey thanks for any input
