Question Need Help to make 17s look better

hello every one, i recently bought my 1999 GS300 and put on 17 inch rims i got in past.

they are 17x7 with 235/45 tires, I'm on LIMITED BUDGET so i plan on keep these wheels for a while.

i am planing on getting Tanabe DF lowering springs, which should make this look better.
im also getting 2 25mm H&R spacers for rear wheels.

but, any other suggestions for how to make those wheels look nicer?

im not planing on getting coilovers because i still want the comfort, and i can't get airbags because the winter here will destroy them in couple years.

car in pictures is with my 17s, but not lowered and does not have spacers at back.
these wheels have same offset, but front wheels stick out a lot more then rear wheels does, that why i only got spacers for back.

any thoughts and suggestions will help!
thanks all!

Lower it some how, RCA's, drop, springs, or coilovers. Or have a combo? Coilovers don't necessarly mean you lose comfort. Depending on what you buy it can be better than stock.

Save your money for some coilovers. Most coilovers ride smooth anyways.

Coilovers you always have the adjustablity. You don't have to think about it as "go low as it can go". Springs are a set drop. Coilovers will allow preference. The gap between the fender and the rims just looks hideous. Drop springs can do the work. But coilovers will always be the better choice.

Yes in the future you will wanna go lower. And IMO putting lowering springs on 12 yr old struts are not good. With coilovers you get new springs, struts, and top hats & 1 time labor. budget means you just gonna have to take longer to build. You save money at the end when you plan things out. Happy modding sir

i searched around, and found that some coilovers make squeaking noise in cold weather, and here at where i live we have winter for 6 month.

is this true?
