I'm a college student living in an area full of college students, so my car's safety is a huge concern to me. I always make sure that I am parked in a garage with cameras and as far away from the car next to me as possible to avoid dings. However, on Friday night/morning, between the hours of 12am- 9am, some a-hole decides to break my driver side wiper blade and arm completely off. It looks like they might have poured some type of liquid, possibly beer, all over the hood as well. I have already file a report and contacted the management company to review the cameras because I am sure it is someone who lives in the complex.

Now I just need to find a replacement. Can anybody point me in the right direction? I tried googling and searching carson, but it kept giving me wiper blade replacements. I need the whole assembly piece. I just replaced my wipers with Rain-X blades too . Haters need to die.

 

Might possibly need to go through a dealer for these parts.

 

Do you use any type of alarm? My anti-theft/vandalism device is a .40 S&W Glock.

 

Where did this happen, and what part of Tx?

 

I have a Viper 5901 system, but it didnt go off. I was asleep when this happened, so even if I had a strap, it wouldn't do any good unless I was right there. I need to get some proximity sensors now... It happened in my apt garage in Austin, TX.

Thanks! This was exactly what I was trying to find. Its #1 in the diagram, the wiper arm.

I think its a bunch of rowdy HS kids who are in town for "Roundup." It's this thing that happens every year where the fraternities and sororities throw parties to get these kids interested in joining. Someone probably had a kid brother who thought it'd be cool to mess with a clean ride. Douchetwat. And I say its a guy because girls aren't as immature to go and mess with someone else's car like this.

I've checked craigslist for some partouts and found one. I'll contact them when they are open on the weekday.

Wow... management company was no help. They kept giving me the run around on when they would send someone to review the tapes. I even gave them a specific time frame of when it happened and they claimed that they could not see anything on the tape, which is complete BS. I feel like they put up fake cameras that don't even work just so people feel safe. They told me that if I wanted to see a copy of the tape, then get the police to request it. I called the detective in charge of my case and that lazy ******* was no help either! He just kept saying, "Well, I understand you want to find out who did it, but in order to do that, I'd have to go to court and get a subpoena for the video and sit there and review 18 hours of tape. If I did find out who did it, then how do you know that the person isn't just a guest at the apt unit? How would you find them then?" He should just do his damn job and go review the tapes instead of being a fatass eating his damn donuts all damn day! So pissed off right now.

 

sorry to hear about what happened. perhaps you need to invest in a spy-cam for your car. mount it so that it captures whoever approaches your car. the next time if something like this happens, you won't be at someone elses mercy (ie useless mgmt company), and can take your video directly to the cops to press charges for vandalism.

 

I hate people like this!!! I had my car keyed down the passenger side on my honey moon!!!
