Yes, I know I need to get them buffed, but that'll come shortly....

Might be a little hard to tell, but the driver's side headlight has a cut off halfway through the lens. Could it be something to do with my auto levelers?

Passenger side is normal:

Driver side has the weird cutoff:

That I do not know since it came like that when I picked her up. Looks aftermarket tho.

And it looks like I need to clean the insides of the housings too -_-

Your HID is pointing down, check the water level. If not level, you need to level.
If level, maybe your auto-leveler wasn't popped into the lens correctly or broken auto-leveler.

Test for broken auto leveler/not popped in correctly. Shut off the car with the key out. Turn on the headlight. Have a second person look at the driver side and passenger side HID ONE at time. Turn the key, see if the HID lens moves.

the drivers one looks to be oem, the passenger looks like a halogen with a kit. The oem reflector headlight does not reflect out of the bottom

This.

Seems like your passenger side is not HID headlight.

They seem to both be OEM. I say this because:
  1. They both are connected to the car's factory wiring harness
  2. Both housings have the OEM auto-leveling "levels" (the oval see thru part on top of the housings)

Could the insides of the housing be from a non OEM HID gs? (the chrome inside reflecting section)

whats the year and model of your car? It takes 30 mins to take off the bumper and then the lights. Stop playing the guessing game and diagnose.
Both HID and Halogen have the Levels, not to be confused with the auto level system.

I have the oem hid and mine don't reflect on the bottom half of the reflector. Instead of taking off the headlights just check the bulbs the HID should be a D2R and the halogen is 9006/HB4. It looks like you have two different housings but I could be wrong also the driver side looks whiter in color at least from the pics

change the bulbs!!!

cheap bulbs are not spec'ed correctly with focal points to be off; thus causing inconsistent output.

if i were you, try switching the bulbs side to side and see if the problem remains with the bulb.

if so, then trash both of them and buy some genuine bulbs like Osram or Philips or GE.

Beware of counterfeit Philips bulbs online.!!!!

oh yes. your blurry lens also affects your output.

do your lens before you conduct your test... it'll definitely yield more desirable results.
