Which is a better engine, Inline 6 or V8?
Hi All
Let just say, if you're going to buy a 2006 GS or newer, would you rather settle for a V6 or a V8. I know there are quite a few Die Hard V8 Fans in here. Please input from past experience. The 3rd Gen. GS is calling my name.
Once I am through with my 2nd Gen. GS, I will have the caster/trailing arms on the alter.
(P.S. I have this post on the 3rd Gen. forum as well, Just gathering information)
Thank all.

Inline 6 or v6? Different, if inline 6 and its the 2jz. 2jz just for turbo, if i dont want to go force induction v8.

Only 1st and 2nd generation GS300 used i6 engine - the 3rd generation GS300/350/450h is a V6.

In your title you stated inline 6. Should just ask 3rd gen, not us 2nd gen peeps
But if I was moving towards a 3gs, the v8 of course. I'm pretty sure mileage is somewhat the same with more horsepower.

If I was to get a 3GS it'd be a 460 for sure.

If you are getting a 3rd gen, get the GS450h.
I have the 2GS430 and 3GS450h, the 450h is noticeably faster than the 430 and get much much better gas millage (if you care). There really is no down side to the 450h.
