The holes there are from the spring loaded door popper for the shaved handles. You have a solenoid in the door to pull the latch via remote, but you have to have tension pushing out on the door at all times, so that when the solenoid pulls down on the latch the popper pushes the door out past the clasp.

No idea why there are two holes there you only need one popper, but it should be low on the door not at the window frame.

I can only assume that they tried to put them there because there isn't much space elsewhere to fit them. Getting them too high can tweak the window frame out from the body when the door is shut, so maybe they had it up first and it was tweaking it so they moved it down? Who's know, but they obviously didn't really know what they were doing.

I've had shaved handles on a few minitrucks as it was the thing to do back then when your already shaving the entire body, it was cool and all but I've really grown to hate them. More of a hassle than it's worth. The door looks cleaner but most people never even notice, and it's just a pain to need to have the key everytime you want to open/close the door to the car when it's parked at home/or in the garage and your just cleaning it or running out to grab something out of it. As well as the hand prints that get all over the doors when it's freshly washed because there is no designated area for people to grab.

My current bagged ranger that I going to give a full suspension and body redo this summer has shaved handles, and I've already got another set of doors for it that I am swapping to ditch the shaved handles as I really am tired of it..

Yea I don't like the idea of shaved door handles but I can always get doors for it. I plan on repainting the car again. With time it will get back to where I want it. I might even 5spd swap it seeing as I have a r154 1jz bellhousing and flywheel lying around my stash of parts >

chris , you have a nice project, with great potential. don't let anyone discourage you, let the haters hate. drop that r154 and boost that ge, or swap in a gte. your pockets are your limits.

noones hating or im not atleast....

im just saying this car went from being half-assed then curry got it and fixed most of it and then it got even worse by the next seller. i personally like the shaved door handles i DONT like the execution of it inside nor the HVAC issue.

so OP how much was this deal?

thanks man, i need boost!!. this will be my 4 door supra haha. and there are some comments on here that could be considered discouraged and what not. but i got the car for me. its been my favorite car since i was younger. 4 door sedan thats rwd? and plus im not the smallest guy. this car fits me well lol. but i picked it up for a good deal. for me to drive all the way out to queens, put gas into it, and drop money into the whole front suspension. sure there are problems but i can deal with them
