Default Is it worth my time...

Hey guys,

I found a 98 gs3 with small damage for $3000.

Would it be worth me picking up, rebuilding, and possibly selling? And what could I roughly get out of it...I'm thinking $8k...sound right?

Here's the link;

Another option would be to make it a all out drag car, i do believe the gte would be a direct wiring swap, which is a plus in my book.

What's everyone think?

Thanks!

I'd talk em down to 2500$, and do it. The clean title is a great thing too.

That's worthwhile. I was thinking about fixing up a GS at my buddy's yard [needed a front end, which the other parts car was]. But it was sitting for a while and said screw it.

Plus you can get most of those parts cheap thru rockauto!

Definitely worth the $4000 profit if you can re-sell it.

(( make sure noone from clublexus buys it ))

As soon as I get paid this week, I'm going to pick it up. I have some parts from my car I can paint and throw on it. May be worth the flip..

i guess you wont be disclosing the fact that it was in an accident, repaired and no longer original huh?
Cause if thats the case, I have some Magic beans you can sell along with the car.

colors are not ideal, but damage is not that bad. If you got the funds..go for it

No, it would be disclosed. Remember, start high, and work your way down

That's what I thought for the colors...if I keep it, it'll get painted and the interor color will be changed for sure.

Looks like a fun project car. Only downside is the salvage title.

I'm with Parker. If you don't want it, I'll take it.

Bah - fender bender

Why disclose something irrelevant? Doesn't change how it drives? No point. Person won't even know and if anything 'appreciate' that it has a new A/C system [mine **** the bed in my ES @ 130k...] and cooling system.

I'm not a pos, and always disclose everything i sell, but in this case, you'll create more headache and confusion than its worth. But that's just me... Frame ok? Drives straight? I'd classify the rest as 'maintenance'.
