Sweet. I Will be removing the resistors for brightness. Did you just just wire the DEPOs the same way you would the 01+ tails?

Nice. Did it to my 98-00 tails. Works like a charm...caint wait to do this to the 01+ tails when I do eventually get them. Thanks for the idea ****...

I just got my 01 tails. I am going to fit them to my 99 GS3.

I got them with the wiring harness and bulbs. Do I need to modify the wiring harness to make them work??
I have searched but found contradictory information.

Just follow the instructions and it will work. There are pictures so it's dumb proof.

They are plug and play if you got the harness, everything will work. Except the outer edge will only be a running light and not a running/brake light.

That socket has a dual filament bulb already, so if you would like it light up with the brakes also then just tap the power to the adjacent bulbs brake feed.
