Talking BIG improvement in acceleration!

The ol’ buttometer pegged the needle starting last weekend.

Holy $hit – floored it in 3rd (I ‘m always in “M” and e-shifting) and spun the wheels when the 3-2 downshift happened! Can’t remember that happening since the 19’s went on! Damn, the car is running the way it should now and I’m looking for victims on the way to work and back.

Almost got tied up with a new Cobra the other day – not enough clear road for us to have a go. He was in the inside lane (3 lanes) I was outside. We hadn’t even noticed each other till we both got away from the light – aggressive - both just short of spinning wheels. I saw him first and decided to “give him a scare” and floored it – he saw me then and got on it just about the time we had to brake for cars ahead – he revved a couple of times just to let me know he’d like to blow the doors off the white Lexus – unfortunately, no opportunity came along and we went our separate way. This isn’t a “kill” story, it just illustrates how much more confidence I had in the power now available!

The best part – THE IMPROVEMENT WAS FREE!

COLD AIR came to Dallas – WINTER is here! The temperature went from the 90’s to the 60’s (brrrrrr) and the GS came to life! As much as I hate cold weather, I can live with it when the GS runs so much better. Of course, all cars run better in colder air but the GS exhibits more improvement than other cars I’ve owned – I love it!

And it just keeps getting better – my PI TC gets installed this coming Friday! I will get out the trusty Gtech if it doesn’t rain (supposed to) and do some comparisons with previous runs – the TC (and colder air) being the only change since my last runs.

I’m thinking about a Fedders 25,000 btu window unit feeding the intake – think it’ll work?

I would be really interested in your review of the PI TC. I am really debating whether to throw down the money on this.

I cant wait for the cold air to get here as well. I am going back to 16'' tires in the next few weeks, so skinnier tires and cold air make for faster GS!!!

ditto. it got way colder here too and my GS is RUNNING now!!

it must be the colder air shes sucking in, and the heat from the exhaust manifold (RIGHT BeloW THE INTAKE) does not get up to the intake in time... hehehe we've got like 40's - 50's right now so im glad its not just in my head that though the car is faster.

Ryan

That price included shipping too.

DAMN good price you save about 280.00. I got mine installed by Mo at SRT for 300.00 but that was included in my 90K service so I don't know what it would cost but its worth every penny

Lightbulb Hello

Hey Garnet.
Hey man you may have to get a LSD to keep all that torque on the ground after you install the PI-TC. If ya don't you are sure to be burning up alot more tires when ya peel out from a stop.

push, I think you are mistaken. You are more than likely spinning 1st to 2nd, not 2nd to 3rd. Especially with 20s.

AgGS400 – damn right that’s a good price – I just paid $850 to get in on the group buy from Steve. I’ve been quoted about $500 for install by Davenport Motors (a shop specializing in Lexus only). Plus, I’ll have them change out a rear seal as a preventive measure (car’s got 50K on it).

Yeah Paul, I was thinking about that on the way home today – guess I’ll have to cut a bunch more yards. Especially the S-03’s with the soft compound – probably be lucky to get 15K out of them. LSD is in the plans and so is cooler.

Hey I just noticed – you’ve got Altstadt Lubecks too? Get them through gs4will?

Default So far there are only 2 of us!

Hell no, man – hope you like them as much as I do! You got some pics posted in the gallery? Like to check out the Lubecks on a Silver.

Yeah, Will has EARNED the respect of a bunch of us CL’ers.

I was just in Philly a couple of months ago – had some REAL Philly cheesesteak. Ate at a couple of good restaurants, only one I remember was Saloon – seems like the other was Mothers?
